This program aims to help underprivileged people with dementia by subsidizing the cost of medicines, diapers and dementia rehabilitation facility. Launched during World Alzheimer’s month 2016, we have reached out to 24 needy persons with Dementia.
How it works?
• The needy person to approach the Bangalore Chapter of ARDSI with a request letter and recommendation of a doctor
• The project managing committee will review the request and take a decision within a week (5 working days).
• If a favourable decision is taken, depending upon the requirement and based on doctor’s prescription, the society will reimburse 50% of the cost of medicines, consumables and daycare; subject to the ceiling of Rs.1000/- per month per person.
Who can be benefitted?
• People with dementia both men and women who cannot afford the cost of medication, consumables such as diapers, daycare/physical rehabilitation and residing in Bangalore
Note: The Society may terminate the above program, in view of financial difficulties without prior intimation. The decision of the committee would be final.
